"G" stops long enough to say Hi.
This is how it all began. A few of us found out about our common interest in mountain biking, mostly by accident. Until now biking in and around the Allegheny National Forest was sort of a secret. We didn't realize how many people were doing it, legally, until we started talking. This led to the usual cordial invite that never panned out. That was until we started a simple e-mail list.
The concept was very basic. If you knew when and where you planned to ride, you just shot it out in an e-mail. Anybody interested could then meet you there and ride groups could form. It was surprising how many people would show up and how much the list kept growing.
We are now an official club with larger agendas toward advocacy, but this is still our backbone of existence, a free ride list so people can ride safely and in bike fellowship.
