OUR BIKE SHOPS.

Each member of NAMBA has their own favorite ride, favorite trail and favorite kind of bike. With that we all seem to gravitate toward a particular kind of bike shop.

In this area we are fortunate enough to have THREE shops, with three distinct personalities of their own.

When you come to visit the area, be sure to stop by and see what they have to offer.

Bike World of Warren.

1666 Market Street Ext. Warren, Pa. 16365

814 - 723 - 1758

"Bo knows bikes".  Back in the early 80's, Bo was a large supporter of the BMX movement. At the time Warren had a great bmx track at Betts field. I remember buying my first real bike, a used mongoose, from Bo.( That was when mongoose and diamondbacks where the big names.)  He still has that personal connection with his bikes. We have a special thanks to Aaron, his top mechanic. (ok so maybe we put Aaron on a pedestal because he helped get our club organized.)

Les has built a shop with true bike personality.  I like to walk into the store on days I can't ride, just because the atmosphere of the place is all about riding. It doesn't matter what kind of bike you ride, you will find a home here.  Three showroom floors of varying displays.  Plus a full support staff of great mechanics( Eric, Mike, & Randy) that Les keeps hidden in the basement.  Matt is the BMX specialist (although someday we will get him on singletrack.) Torry is the mountain bike guru. Great selection and he won't sell you what you don't need.   This store without a doubt, has the largest and best selection of riding specific apparel in the entire eastern great lakes region. Well worth a stop by just to browse.

Jamestown Cycle Shop

Bill and Steve have had a fantastic shop for many years. They are sort of the hometown version of a Dicks sporting goods. The difference is that they don't waste space with the peripheral items, but focus on what athletes really need. Their bike department takes up a third of the store and is very blue collar oriented. You can see the guys working on the bikes and if Bill isn't around, it is usually one of the mechanics that strolls out to chat with you. Although the first impression of the place gives a feeling of bmx focus (which is cool and needed for the area) a mountain biker can find probably the largest selection of parts and accessories, that you can see and touch, in the area.
